The promotional campaign for Apple TV + hit “Ted Lasso” is one of four series nominated for the ICG Publicists Awards.

“Ted Lasso” is nominated for the Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Showmanship Award, which will be presented at the 59th edition of the ICG Publicists Awards in March 2022. Organizers deemed only four campaigns worthy of consideration, instead of the maximum six.

According to Deadline, Sarah Carragher, publicity manager for the Apple TV + series, is nominated with her team specifically to promote the first season of “Ted Lasso”.

“While this year has been difficult in many ways,” said co-chair of the awards, Tim Menke, “the four nominated TV ad campaigns each exemplify the best strategic planning and the best targeted implementation, attracting a large TV audience. “.

“In addition to the difficulties that the pandemic has brought to everyone,” he continued, “these shows have each overcome specific marketing problems to climb to the top”.

“Ted Lasso” now competes with Warner’s “Batwoman”, season two, Amazon’s “The Underground Railroad” and Disney’s “WandaVision”. The application was first spotted through iPlus.

Last year’s Publicists Guild TV winner was the team behind the first season of the Disney + hit “The Mandalorian.”

The nomination is the last of many honors for “Ted Lasso”. Previously, it had garnered a record 20 73rd Emmy Award nominations, winning four, including one Outstanding Comedy Series.
