The East of England Tourism Awards 2021 are open for applications now, and the Marketing Campaign of the Year category gives businesses and tourist attractions the opportunity to be recognized for their efforts in taking a proactive approach to marketing – whether through print, digital, social, outdoor, newspaper activities or a mixture of all of these.
This award will seek out those who truly understand their audience and base their marketing strategy on solid data and research. We are looking for creative, memorable but also measurable marketing concepts with positive proof of results
“Marketing is an integral part of the entrepreneurial selling process,” says Ed Pereira, director of Pear Communications, which sponsors this category.
“Without marketing, a business can fail. Integrating marketing functions into every facet will give a business an edge over any competitor.
“To be unique and to show the world that you can stand out is a powerful thing. A powerful marketing strategy can make all the difference in sales, business attitude, and business morale.
Ed will be looking for daring nominations, as well as innovative and impactful storytelling to gain brand magnification.
“Proactivity is what every business needs in the marketing world,” he says. “You have to be versatile and mobile to capture the audience and hold their attention; Being proactive across a mix of platforms consistently puts you at the forefront of your audience’s minds.
“The reality is, if you create a strategy based on your own understanding, you have probably derailed a strategy. Using in-depth data and research to craft your strategy is a sure-fire way to deliver the most accurate strategy possible.
“You’re more likely to produce content that will engage and inspire your audience to take the actions you want them to take. Brands use audience analytics to improve their marketing strategy, customer experience, and brand impression by learning more about their existing and future consumers.
So why should companies take the time to participate in this award?
“This award is a fantastic opportunity to enhance the visibility and reputation of your business, and it should be taken very seriously by any business wishing to grow and be leaders in the local and national tourism industry,” concludes Ed.
The East of England Tourism Awards 2021 are open to tourism businesses operating in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. Registrations close at midnight on Sunday October 3. Shortlisted finalists will go through a selection process, which may include a site visit, before being announced on Saturday January 15, 2022.
A glittering black tie event will then take place at the Imperial War Museum Duxford, Cambridgeshire on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
